Sophomore Belle Registration
The deadline has passed for current season registrations.
Dear Sophomore Belle Sponsor,
The Waco Symphony Council is delighted to invite your daughter or granddaughter to participate in our two-year Symphony Belle Program for young women in their sophomore and junior years of high school. The Waco Symphony Belle Program is an educational program designed to introduce young people of Central Texas to cultural and leadership experiences that are not found in any other organization in our community.
The Sophomore Belle Program includes —
- Support of the Waco Symphony Orchestra:
- Belle participants usher at Waco Symphony Concerts
- Belles, as well as their parents, assist with Council fundraising events
- Belle Sponsors must purchase Waco Symphony Season Tickets
- Age-Appropriate Cultural Education Seminars:
- Music Appreciation
- Entertaining and Social Etiquette
- Leadership Development Skills
- Community Service Opportunities:
- Volunteer at Council-sponsored events
Participants in this program attend both public and
private schools throughout Central Texas. This broad
spectrum offers Belles the opportunity to meet and work with
peers outside of their usual groups. New friendships are
formed and life-long lessons are learned.
Registration for the program will include the following:
- Completion of the Sophomore Belle Form to obtain the
required information for participation in the program
and payment of yearly dues;
- Purchase of Membership in the Waco Symphony
Council and volunteering for a committee;
- Purchase of Season Tickets at the Sustainer level or
higher.
