Dear Sponsor,
The Waco Symphony Council is delighted to invite your daughter, son or grandchild to participate in our Symphony Belle and Brass Program for young women in their sophomore and junior years and young men in their junior year of high school. The Symphony Belle and Brass Program is an educational program designed to introduce young people of Central Texas to cultural and leadership experiences that cannot be found in any other organization in our community. The highlight of this year’s program will be the presentation of the Junior Belles and Brass on March 24, 2012, as part of the Waco Symphony Program. A reception in their honor will follow the concert.
The Belle and Brass Program is made up of several components.
Support of the Waco Symphony Orchestra
¤ Belle and Brass participants usher at WSO concerts
¤ Parents and participants assist with WSC fundraising events
¤ Sponsors purchase Waco Symphony season tickets at the Sustainer Level,
or higher
Age Appropriate Cultural Education Seminars
¤ Music Appreciation
¤ Entertaining and Social Etiquette
¤ Leadership Development Skills
Community Service Opportunities
¤ Volunteer at WSC sponsored events such as ZooTunes! in the fall
Participants in this program attend schools throughout Central Texas, both public and private. This broad spectrum offers the Belles and Brass the opportunity to meet and work with peers outside of their usual groups. New friendships are formed and life-long lessons are learned.
This form includes an application for being a Belle or Brass, an application for joining the Waco Symphony Council, and information in regard to requirements.
